Biography
Dr. Ved Pal Singh, former Professor & Head, Department of Botany, University of Delhi (from where he completed Ph.D. in 1981), is currently serving as Honorary Professor at Innovative College of Pharmacy, Grater Noida (Uttar Pradesh), India. His area of specialization is Applied Microbiology & Biotechnology. He has 120 publications to his credit. He discovered Ca2+/CaM (calmodulin)-mediated dynamics of genetic transformation in thermophilic bacteria. Professor Singh was elected as Fellow of the International Society for Conservation of Natural Resources, Fellow of International Society of Plant Morphologists, Fellow of Indian Botanical Society and Fellow of the Linnean Society of London.
